Imperial Dade acquires Philip Rosenau
US foodservice and jan/san giant Imperial Dade has acquired Pennsylvania-based distributor Philip Rosenau for an undisclosed sum.
It is Imperial Dade’s 24th acquisition in the past 12 years under the leadership of Robert and Jason Tillis and further extends its reach in the key north-east market in the US. Philip Rosenau – which was part of the Strategic Market Alliance cooperative group – serves customers across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.
Brady Acquires Janitorial Company
Brady, a full-line janitorial supply, equipment and foodservice distributor, announces the acquisition of MASSCO, headquartered in Park City, Kansas.
Established in 1982, MASSCO has locations in Park City, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. The company has built a reputation as a solution-based provider of janitorial, packaging and office supply products throughout Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and surrounding areas.
So what does this mean to you the reader? If you are a business owner I would suggest you look at how you can differentiate yours from what now is a few super large Jan/San houses. What services do you provide that a much larger company can’t? What products do you sell versus them? Do you sell you own brand (BYOB)? If not then you are just competing on price aren’t you?
