Happy 100th ISSA

I probably don’t need to tell you the following but in case you don’t know-

The International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), a leading trade association for the cleaning industry worldwide, has a rich history dating back to its inception in 1923. Originally named the National Sanitary Supply Association (NSSA), the organization was formed to represent manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers in the janitorial and sanitation industry. In its early years, the NSSA focused primarily on addressing common challenges faced by businesses in the industry, such as improving product standards and advocating for fair trade practices. This focus on collaboration and standardization played a crucial role in shaping the early janitorial and sanitation market, setting benchmarks for quality and performance in cleaning products and services.

Over the years, the organization expanded its reach and influence, eventually adopting the name International Sanitary Supply Association to reflect its growing international membership and global perspective. Today, ISSA is recognized as a global community of many thousands of members, including distributors, manufacturers, manufacturer representatives, wholesalers, building service contractors, in-house service providers, residential cleaners, and associated service members

This coming week the ISSA is holding is annual trade show in Las Vegas. Bullen will not be exhibiting this year but we will be back again in Vegas next year (already picked our booth). Sorry we will miss everyone on the show floor as we have for the last 50+ years.

New Jancast is up!

A new type of tech show this episode, we go deep into new advances in toilet paper, from new perforations to using it for odor control.

We also cover the news from the ISSA Today just published, celebrating 100 years. Scott is featured as a past president and also gave his thoughts the cleaning industry in the future.

We cover the awards coming up for John Garfinkel and others at the ISSA show next week in Las Vegas. We close with a pitch to get Bill Balek. retiring as ISSA general council as a future guest before he retires at the end of the year.

Go Eagles!
